is provided by Sarah Dryden, an expert at teaching fundamentals through
advanced pitching. Sarah began pitching at the age of 13, and within a year was
the starting varsity pitcher for her high school. She went on to pitch at the
collegiate level, during which she began teaching the art of fastpitch pitching.
Since then, she has spent the past 8 years dedicated to developing pitchers her
Sarah's Pitching School is located in Mankato, MN and offers lessons to all softball pitchers in the Mankato area. Lessons are typically 45 minutes of dynamic pitching incorporating age-appropriate warm-ups, drills, games and instruction. Pitching development requires athletes to dedicate a substantial amount of time to at-home practice, regardless of age or experience. Sarah’s pitching school designs personal practice plans consisting of physical conditioning, stretching and pitching practice to advance the pitcher to the next level of play.
Sarah's Pitching School welcomes pitchers of any age, and especially encourages older softball players who would like to learn how to pitch to enroll.
In addition to the eight years
Sarah has spent coaching fastpitch pitchers, she has also engaged in the local
softball community on many levels. In Ames Iowa, Sarah volunteered on Board of Directors for Ames Girls Softball Association
for three years. During this time, she led pitching clinics, coach training,
and served as the Tournament Director in 2012 for the annual USSSA Harry McMaken and
Memorial Day Tournament. Sarah has also coached travel and school ball teams.
She has been the head coach for 10U, 12U and 14 U travel teams, and assistant coach
of 16U and White Bear Lake, MN High School B squad.
Sarah has the knowledge and skills to teach pitchers from beginning to
advanced. The program requires hard work and dedication, and in return pitchers will see improved accuracy, speed and a new love for the game.
