Dr. Dryden and his entire staff take infection control very seriously. Each patient treatment room is thoroughly disinfected after each patient. All instruments are sterilized using state of the art sterilization, as they do in the hospital. We utilize disposables whenever possible.
In other words, you can relax with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are being treated in a clean, sterile environment.
Above is a picture of our sterilization area. All instruments and handpieces go through several steps;
- Rinsed with water to remove debris
- Placed in an ultrasonic cleaner which removes any remaining debris
- Rinsed again and dried
- Bagged and placed into the steam autoclave, which is monitored to guarantee complete sterilization
- Placed on trays in our "clean" area, so that sterilized instruments are never handled again until they are placed at the dental chair and the staff is gloved, masked, and ready to begin treatment.
